Material

Digital PDF will be provided to you. You need to take a printout before the class begins. For flourishing you can use your favourite nib, ink & calligraphy friendly paper.  ( I will be using Walnut Ink & Hunt 101 or Hunt 22 Nib )

Online Location 

Your Home. (We will meet over Zoom / Google Meet. You need to have internet connection, camera (mobile will work) & also mobile stand.

Is this class for absolute beginner?

No, you need to know how to write copperplate calligraphy lowercase & uppercase before joining this class.

Can I join even if I have never done flourishing before?

Yes, absolutely. We will begin from the very basics of flourishing, so even if you’ve never tried it before, there’s no need to worry. I’ll guide you step by step and handhold you through the process so you can build confidence as you learn.

Is this class only for those who know Copperplate Calligraphy ?

All the examples in this class are based on copperplate calligraphy, however you can easily apply the rules of flourishing to any other pointed pen script ( spencerian, modern, ornamental penmanship ) or even brush calligraphy.

What materials do I need?

You can use your favourite nib, ink & calligraphy friendly papers to flourish. Keep pencils handy ( not mechanical one, not H pencils, any B, 2B, 4B, 6B will work ) Also, keep handout print ready before the class begins.
